Description
Gaviscon Original Aniseed Flavour 150ml is an over-the-counter oral suspension designed to provide fast and effective relief from heartburn, acid reflux, and indigestion. It works by forming a protective barrier on top of the stomach contents, preventing acid from rising into the esophagus. Each 5ml dose contains Sodium Alginate (250 mg) to form a gel-like reflux-blocking layer, Sodium Bicarbonate (133.5 mg) to neutralize excess stomach acid, and Calcium Carbonate (80 mg) for additional acid neutralization. The aniseed-flavored formula also contains preservatives and flavoring agents, making it suitable for adults and children over 12 years for use after meals and at bedtime.

WARNING
- Do not use if you are allergic to sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, or parabens (methylparaben or propylparaben).
- Not suitable for individuals on a low-sodium or salt-restricted diet without medical advice.
- Long-term or excessive use may lead to hypercalcaemia (high calcium levels in the blood).
- If symptoms persist longer than 7 days, consult your doctor.
- Use only under medical advice in children under 12 years.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Generally safe, but consult your healthcare provider before use.
- Space at least 2 hours apart from other oral medications to avoid reduced effectiveness.
- Store below 30°C, in a cool, dry place, and keep out of reach of children.
